As a past student, and now an educator, I have discovered the value in determining one’s learning style. I learned mine in my third year at university, and I wish I had learned it sooner. There are three main ways that individuals learn: visually, auditorily, or kinesthetically. Visual learners learn best through observation. Auditory learners learn best through hearing and discussing topics. Kinesthetic learners learn best when they are able to immerse themselves in a topic and use a hands-on approach. When we can find the way children learn best, we can implement tailored strategies and techniques to help with their education.
