Brittany completed her Bachelor of Education with Primary and Junior qualifications
at University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education,
where she specialized in Aboriginal Practices and Perspectives, and completed
an Additional Qualification in Special Education. Prior to getting her
B. Ed, Brittany received her Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate
from Seneca College, and has been teaching English at a private language
school for 3 and a half years. She has also been tutoring Elementary school
students and adults who are learning English for the same amount of time.
She thinks the best thing about the job is getting to meet about people
from all over the world, and learning about different cultures. She enjoys
travelling and has spent time volunteering in schools in India, Guatemala,
and Ecuador. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with friends and
family (including her dog, Gracie, and cat, Shammie), go shopping, and
take dance classes. Brittany is looking forward to working as an Occasional
Teacher with the Peel District School Board in the fall.
