Brodie is an Ontario Certified Teacher, holding a Bachelor of Education
from OISE at the University of Toronto, and a Combined Honours BA in English
and Sociology from Dalhousie University. With over 6 years of experience
working and volunteering in education with all grade levels, Brodie has
developed an educational philosophy that emphasizes awareness and attention
to the individual needs of students in order to maximize their potential.
Brodie has worked at various private and public institutions all over
Canada – Of note are his experiences designing curriculum for University
of Toronto Schools, as well as his position as an Associate Faculty at
Rothesay Netherwood School, where he provided academic coaching and support
for students in an intensive IB program. Brodie has extensive experience
working with students of all ages, with
and other learning profiles, developing creative strategies to overcome
learning obstacles that are often overlooked in the regular school system.
In his spare time, Brodie loves to play music, travel, and spend time
in the outdoors playing rugby and skiing. Brodie’s passions coalesce
in his teaching philosophy, as experience based learning and creativity
play crucial roles in providing the unique support that each student needs.
