Intermediate/Senior French Teacher
I graduated from Chapman University, a liberal arts University in Southern California in 2014. I graduated with a BA in French and Psychology. After my BA, I went to Brock University to pursue my Masters in the Arts in Child and Youth Studies, where I did a mixed study thesis on Fluid Identity and Cultural Sensitivity in youth. I am currently studying at University of Toronto’s well-respected Master of Teaching program at OISE. I am in the Junior/ Intermediate section with a teachable in French. With this program I will be certified to teach through the Ontario College of Teachers and in addition have another Masters.
I have previous experience tutoring and teaching. I have worked at several summer camps both in Switzerland and Singapore, where I was either a counsellor or an art teacher. Additionally I have worked as a recess monitor, lunch supervisor, and replaced the ECE on her lunch break at a Catholic French school in St. Catharines. For the past year I have tutored Core French for students up until the Intermediate level, and also University students taking French as a second language. I am comfortable teaching math in French up until the grade 10 level.
In my free time I enjoy being active and playing sports such as tennis. But I also really enjoy art and culture, and creating crafts.
