Courtney is a multi-passionate educator, counselor and organizer. She has a B.A in Sociology and International Development Studies from Dalhousie University. After working with children as a nanny during her summer holidays she followed her passion for creating learning experiences to New Zealand where she received a Graduate degree in Primary Education from the University of Otago. After working as a teacher for 5 years in Toronto, Courtney and her husband moved to San Francisco, California, where she became a certified counselor and worked in a Montessori school. Upon returning to Toronto, Courtney is pursuing a degree in children's mental health at the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Courtney uses her strong intuition and ability to connect with people to foster a safe and creative learning environment. With her diverse range of experiences working with children she has come to understand that each child has a unique set of abilities and learning languages that will flourish in an environment of trust, creativity and well being. In her spare time, you will find Courtney playing with her new puppy, Tikaani, hiking in the woods, gardening and making herbal medicine.
