About:

Emma graduated from the York University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Developmental and Atypical Psychology. She has a particular interest in Aboriginal Education, and spent a year working with young children in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. Currently, Emma is completing her Masters of Arts in Child Study and Education at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study at OISE, University of Toronto to become a certified Primary/Junior Teacher. She has been a Teacher Candidate in classrooms at High Park Alternative Public School, the Bishop Strachan School, and Church Street Public School. She has also worked at an after-school care program at Davisville Public School since 2014. Emma has experience working one-on-one with emergent readers, and introducing number sense and numeration to Primary school students. Emma believes learning should be collaborative, individualized to the student, and enjoyable!
