About:Emma completed her Bachelor of Arts at Western University and is currently completing her final year in a Masters of Teaching program at the University of Toronto. She has over five years of work and volunteer experience with children and hopes to one day work as an elementary school teacher.
Emma’s approach to teaching involves differentiated instruction, which considers the personality, interests, learning style and needs of each student. She takes the time to develop a positive relationship with the students she works with to foster a rich learning environment. Emma can help her students improve their learning skills (such as organization and self-regulation), literacy skills and math knowledge and understanding.
Emma enjoys spending her free time volunteering at a Girl Guides of Canada Brownies unit, where she goes by the name of Little Owl, and fascilitating an Eco-Club at a local elementary school, allowing her to pursue her passion for environmental education. She loves hiking, doing yoga, cooking healthy meals and taking improv classes.
