Farah A. S.
I grew up in Markham, Ontario, and have always believed in advocacy. I am OCT the York Region School Board as a full time employee. My current role as an ESL specialist allows me to work with international and new immigrant students at different levels, and help them in, not only English, but all their other subjects. I advocate for them when they cannot speak for themselves, and I assure they receive the education they need to be successful.
I have a specialist-minor combination from the University of Toronto in French linguistics and Biology. I can teach math and science from grades 7-10 and grade 11 and 12 biology. In addition I have my ESL qualification, and great experience teaching in South Korea for a year.
Outside of school, I enjoy baking, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with my family. I also have my aerial yoga teaching qualification because I love to hang upside down.
