Intermediate French & Math Tutor
I studied French and History at the Bilingual Campus of Glendon, York University. In 2010 I graduated with honors and was immediately hired as a teacher by the Toronto District School Board. In my first two years of teaching I had the very unique and rewarding opportunity to be an Outdoor Education Specialist for the TDSB. As an Outdoor Educator I was responsible for taking students of Toronto to the Scarborough Outdoor Education School located just outside of Algonquin Park. Over this two year period I guided hiking and canoeing trips throughout Ontario going as far as Quetico Provincial Park near the Ontario/Manitoba boarder. In 2012 I moved back into the classroom to teach two consecutive years of Grade 6. As of this year, I teach Core French for Grades 4-8.
Outside of teaching I am a very active person. At the age of 18 I joined the Canadian Forces and have remained in the army as a reservist since that time. I have been employed across the country as a reservist, competed in a Best Squad competition against American troops, and served in the Arctic near the Norwegian/Russian boarder. Playing sports, camping, and reading is how I spend much of my free time. Looking forward to tutoring!
