Shortly after completing his masters in Greek and Roman archaeology, Itay realized that he wasn't cut out to a life of Indiana Jones-ing. He's decided instead to apply his experience in studying French, Latin, Greek, and various histories and literatures to the teaching profession.
Ever since his teenage years, Itay's been passionate about teaching and instructing. He's spent over a decade instructing swimming to children and young adults ranging from ages 2 to 20, tutored privately in subjects ranging French and Latin to civics and the Canadian citizenship test, and was a Teaching Assistant (TA) with the Brock University Department of Classics.
Itay has earned his B.A. in Classical Studies from York University in 2013 and his M.A. in Classics from Brock in 2015. He's travelled the world, and immersed himself in the Francophone cultures of Québec, France, and Belgium. He's currently pursuing his B.Ed. at York University to teach history and French at the intermediate/senior divisions. He's excited to bring all his experiences in travel, learning, and teaching all ages to Prep Academy.
