After graduating from high school with a French Immersion Certificate of Bilingual Studies, Jessica completed her Bilingual (English and French) Bachelor of Sociology degree at York University’s Glendon College. During her postsecondary education, Jessica also pursued a career in teaching through the OCT concurrent BEd program. Jessica has experience tutoring students in grades 9 – 12 in French and Social Studies (Family Studies, History, Philosophy, Anthropology, etc.) as well as teaching both French immersion and core French in the classroom setting. She specializes in learning French as an English speaker, as well as in using technology to boost productivity.
Jessica found that one-on-one mentorship was where she excelled. Following graduation, she pursued a career change and is now the Project Analyst at a busy medical center. Not wanting to give up teaching entirely, Jessica continues to be a site supervisor and mentor to both high school and post-secondary students as part of their experiential learning curriculum; for programs such as co-operative education, project management, and medical administration.
Jessica’s professional experience includes clinical research and data analysis. She is especially interested in sharing her enthusiasm for data analysis with young developing minds. Jessica provides experiences to help students develop problem solving skills and grow their confidence.
