Junior Intermediate Teacher
About:Kathryn received her Bachelors of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Education and Minor in Geography from Brock University in 2015. She took a variety of education courses through out her time in the Concurrent Education program gaining an in depth knowledge of the Ontario curriculum, specializing at the Junior/Intermediate level. Through the program she was given the opportunity to teach in a range of different classroom settings and grades where she was able to put theory into practice. Since graduating she has gained the Additional Qualifications in Special Education and ESL. Using what she has learned through out her own education she has had the chance to teach ESL in China and has spent the last 2 years teaching Secondary School geography in the UK. She understands that all children are different and therefore have differing needs. She strives to create sessions that are aimed specifically towards each individual students so that can reach their goals and full potential. She believes that education should be child centred and geared towards supporting the whole child both academically and personally. Kathryn hopes to promote a safe, motivating learning environment that allows for positive relationships to build.
Kathryn is patient, organized, supportive, encouraging, innovative and flexible. In her spare time she loves to play with her dog, read and and watch movies. She also enjoys playing soccer, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
