Kathryn is a graduate of Lakehead University and holds a Bachelor of Education
in Primary/Junior grade levels and has since completed her intermediate
qualifications with a teachable in History. Previously, she completed
her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from Queen’s University.
Kathryn believes that a teacher makes a significant difference in fostering
students’ continued learning and personal confidence to be successful
in the classroom and beyond. In order to be able to teach all learners,
Kathryn has completed Additional Qualifications in Special Education where
she focussed on teaching practices that best suit exceptional learners
with autism and other intellectual disabilities. Additionally, she has
taken Additional Qualifications in Math where she believes that hands-on
and interactive teaching methods make the learning process both fun and
student centred. Learning is meant for all, and there is always a way
to make sure that the student is learning and enjoying themselves too!
