About:

Kayla is a qualified French and Social Sciences teacher and tutor. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wilfrid Laurier with honours every year and graduated with Academic Distinction. She holds a Degree in Contemporary Studies, a Focus in French and a Minor in Criminology. Her Bachelor of Education was completed through Nipissing University with qualifications to teach grades 4-12.

Kayla's first language is French and she has lived in Quebec for part of her university education, making her exceptionally proficient in both reading and writing French. She has taught every grade from Kindergarten to grade 12 and began tutoring French students when she was in high school. In her final year at Wilfrid Laurier, Kayla was also the professor for two university French Oral courses to first and second-year students at the school.

In addition to having much classroom and French culture experience, she is a very motivated person, punctual and reliable. She enjoys teamwork and collaboration, however also works very well independently. Her students thoroughly enjoy her teaching style as she always demonstrates enthusiasm, respect, and inclusion of all. Kayla promotes positive mental health in all aspects of her life and demonstrates many ways to develop a healthy mind in and out of her teaching methods.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys kayaking, hiking, various arts and crafts, studying crime stories, volunteering at the local youth centre, and learning through documentaries.
