Intermediate/Senior English Tutor & SSAT Coach
Meagan received her undergraduate degree in History and Geography from the University of Guelph in 2009 and completed her Bachelor of Education in Intermediate/Senior from the University of Ottawa in 2010 (qualifying her to teach grade 4-10). Meagan has experience as an educator in a variety of settings including junior, intermediate, and senior levels in Ontario and Alberta. She has specialized in working within special education and has experience working with upper level English as well.
Meagan’s professional practice is rooted within the tenets of differentiated instruction, which is displayed through the authentic and real life learning opportunities that she creates for her students. Meagan is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and caring learning community for her students. She has enhanced her professional practice through the completion of a number of professional development opportunities, including Daily 5 and CAFE, Stepping Out: Content Areas, New to Math Grades 4-6, First Steps: Reading, Behaviour Management Systems Training, and additional qualifications in Special Education Part 1 and Reading Part 1.
