Nancy graduated with Honours from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Human Geography. Nancy graduates with a Bachelor of Education at York University in June in the Intermediate/Senior division with teachable subjects in Physical Education and Geography. Nancy volunteers in her local high school where she tutors students in Mathematics, Geography, Science, and English.
Nancy has vast experience teaching and mentoring students aged 6-17. Nancy's passion for teaching is predicated upon her experiences working with vulnerable populations including individuals with disabilities as well as 'marginalized' youth. Nancy is extremely comfortable modifying and adapting information to make it accessible for all learners. Building relationships with students is also central in Nancy's teaching pedagogy. Nancy uses inquiry based methodology that guides her students to become autonomous thinkers.
Outside of the classroom, Nancy lives a very active lifestyle, where she coaches rep volleyball, works out at the gym, or plays sports with friends.
