Natalie graduated from The University of Western Ontario, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Bachelor of Education with specialization in primary/junior education. Natalie has taken Special Education and Reading Part 1 as her additional qualifications in teaching.
Natalie has worked with all age groups including kindergarten through grade 6 students. Her experience both as a classroom teacher and as a individual tutor for primary/junior levelled students has strengthened her expertise in assisting and strengthening students’ skills with writing, reading comprehension, and numeracy. Since Natalie graduated, she has spent her years teaching locally, overseas, private tutoring, and volunteering in the Toronto District School Board. She also has extensive experience working with students with special needs, including training in intensive behavioural intervention.
Natalie’s interests include music, and being outdoors. She further has experience teaching music and dance/physical education within the school system.
Natalie is passionate for helping students learn, and helping each child to reach his/her utmost potential. She is personable, optimistic, and feels passionate and proud of her ability to make a strong rapport with her students. Her goal is to make connections with each individual she works with, and to help create a positive learning environment for all of her students.
