Sara graduated with a Master of Teaching Degree from the University of
Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She focused
on the primary/junior sector of education and wrote her grad thesis on
supporting students with mental health issues in the classroom. Prior
to completing her degree in Education, she attended the University of
Waterloo where she majored in Sociology and took classes that looked at
children's education in depth and a child's development process.
Sara has an additional qualification (AQ) and in-classroom experience
teaching students with Special Needs and is currently working on her French
AQ. Additionally Sara is trained in both the Direct Instruction Reading
Mastery Program and in the Wilson Reading Program and she enjoys delivering
these remedial programs to students in the primary and junior grades.
Sara emphasizes on differentiated instruction and knows the importance
of how different individual students learn.
