Primary/Junior Special Education Tutor
About:I am very excited about the opportunity to apply my Primary/Junior teaching skills and meet new students! I have a Bachelors of Education degree from Windsor University where I completed the Urban Education Partnership Program. I was also selected within the top Teacher Candidates to participate in an international teaching placement in Tanzania, East Africa. My teaching experience enabled me to designed lessons plans and activities that connected pedagogical theories to my learning practice. I understand the importance of encouraging students to achieve the best of their individual ability.
My passion of education motivated me to complete my Master of Education degree at Western University. During my Masters Degree, I conducted my thesis research on experiential and transformational learning through International Service-Learning. In addition, I have several years of international teaching experience in South Korea and India.
I have worked for the Ministry of Education for the Provincial Schools Branch as a Team Lead - Residential Counsellor III for Primary/Junior level students. In this position, I worked with students of various academic backgrounds. I supported the social and academic well-being of students, provided supervision, guidance, and instruction in social and life skills. I am very excited to meet new students and assist students in reaching their full potential!
